Streaming is more than just for Gen Z
Kids these days don’t understand what it takes, right? Well, you’re wrong. It might be you who isn’t embracing the now. Truly engaging with clients, customers, potential or current, has become easier and faster as social media has become cemented as a necessity for business, and digital platforms become cheaper, better and more accessible for all.
There’s a reason Gen Z adore streaming and why millennials and other generations are beginning to embrace it as well. The direct contact you have with your base is unparalleled. Ever seen an exercise routine on YouTube with a question unanswered or lambasted by those who think they’re holier-than-thou? You can cut all that out by having the conversation there and then.
How big is it?
Seriously, you might think that your kid is being isolated from the outside world, but in reality, they’ve never been more social in their entire lives. A constant stream of connections with people they either look up to, enjoy or learn from is essentially the reason why Facebook and Youtube are doing so well in this area. You only need to look at how well Joe Wicks did with his Youtube live-streams to know this!
fibodo’s live streaming capabilities might not be in the same ballpark as multi-billion dollar corporations all aiming for the same market or even Guinness World Records, but it does allow you to cut right through the preverbal butter with a hot knife and get to the point – easily. It also allows you to connect with your community in a way that no one else can, with instructors who know attendees by name and have built up bonds of trust.

Your clients are probably already doing it!
You knew this phrase was coming, but as the pandemic raged, streaming software has become the norm. Older generations that might never have interacted with applications like Zoom before have given new life to those who work within the gym and leisure industries. You will have seen tonnes of posts on Facebook or Instagram about people doing home-based routines with their usual class, but all far apart.
A pretty big example is someone who has flown under the radar of the mainstream public for years, as Diamond Dallas Page, an ex-wrestler, has been running DDP Yoga in this format for over a decade!
fibodo gives you the power to do what he does, but with your classes. You set the time, what it is and where you’re hosting it (you literally just paste in a link!) and you’re off to the races. This gives you a direct way to teach, talk and interact with your clientele while keeping everyone safe and being flexible to schedules. It’s good to plan for the future, so when lockdown lifts (or god forbid we’re put into another one) it’s essential to have a mix of digital and face-to-face offerings for your clients.
As lockdowns lift, we are seeing a surge in gym and studio attendance, that’s natural. What we will also see, is a growing number of people adopting a hybrid working model, part home and part office and we’ll see a growing demand for the same arrangement for the fitness habit – part streaming, part on-demand, and the rest in person.
Streaming is the future and the future is now!
You have to take advantage of what the kids are hyping up and all jumping on because by doing so, you’re absolutely going to catch their attention if it’s easy to access. Zoom was one of the most installed apps of 2020 for a reason: it works. Plus, you can almost guarantee that grandma or an uncle has Zoom installed to call their relatives, it’d be pretty good if they could join you too!
Combine this with fibodo’s easy setup, plus with a singular place to link to for anyone to sign up, and pay, you’ll be able to draw in people far and wide – even after all this has blown over.
